Onavo, a startup that offers iOS and Android users a suite of apps to protect their information and track data usage online, is launching a new tool for app creators and marketers called Acquisition Insights.
It forms part of Onavo Insights, a group of tools built specifically for developers that leverage the data sent to Onavo by its iOS and Android app users. The new feature covers mobile advertising specifically, through a browser-based dashboard that visualizes the performance of thousands of apps across North America and Europe.
Users can search for a specific app and see exactly which advertising campaigns and platforms are driving downloads. Developers can also see whether the app was found naturally or though a promotional tool, such as an online ad network.
