Official Pictures Of The T-Mobile G2 Surface

We first got wind of T-Mobile’s first HSPA+ handset a couple of weeks back, as the mobile carrier flipped the switch on a new mini-site giving visitors the option to sign-up for more information on the new Android-powered handset.

CellPhoneSignal grabbed the first official shots of the T-Mobile G2, suggesting that the device will come in any colour that you want, as long as it’s silver.

It has some pretty decent specifications too, positioning it as a device worthy of carrying the torch from its predecessor, the very first Android handset, the T-Mobile G1:

  • 3.7″ Active Matrix OLED display
  • 1 GHz Snapdragon Processor
  • Landscape slide-out QWERTY keyboard
  • 5MP camera with autofocus.
  • 3G HSPA+
  • WiFi + Hotspot capabilities
  • aGPS
  • Bluetooth 2.1 + Enhanced Data Rate

CellPhoneSignal noted that the device will run HTC’s Sense UI but from the screenshots, it seems to be a vanilla build of Android. As always, the finished product can be substantially different from early shots, so we will have to wait and see what T-Mobile will deliver when it decides to divulge more information.
