Andy Rubin, Google’s VP of Engineering will be in Mountain View, CA, next Wednesday to officially unveil “Honeycomb,” Google’s new operating system developed specifically for tablets, as first reported by AllThingsD.
Rubin and a few other Goolgers will show Android 3.0 Honeycomb, which will run on Motorola’s new XOOM tablet that was unveiled at CES earlier this month with T-Mobile’s LG tablet expected to follow shortly after. This event follows hot on the heels of the Verizon’s CES keynote speech just a few weeks ago.
How much more can Honeycomb surprise us? We’ll be there to report.
