Nokia confirms white Lumia 800 to launch in Europe by the end of February

Nokia has announced it will debut a white version of its Lumia 800 Windows Phone by the end of February, adding to the cyan, magenta and black models which went on sale in November.

Like its older brethren, the white Lumia 800 will feature a 3.7-inch AMOLED ClearBlack curved display, a 1.4 GHz processor, 8MP camera with Carl Zeiss optics, HD video playback, 16GB of internal user memory and free SkyDrive storage.

Nokia is also embedding its Nokia Drive and Nokia Music apps, as well as a new Ministry of Sound app, helping to make its Windows Phone portfolio stand out from devices offered by its rivals.

The device will be available in the UK, Finland, Russia, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, and Poland when it launches in the coming weeks.

On January 26, Nokia revealed in its fourth-quarter financial results that it had sold over 1 million Lumia smartphones but neglected to point out specific figures for the Lumia 800, which was tasked with helping the company reverse its smartphone decline.
