New Nexus 7 goes up for sale on Google Play in the UK, Germany, France, Spain and Japan

New Nexus 7 goes up for sale on Google Play in the UK, Germany, France, Spain and Japan

Google’s new Nexus 7, which first launched in the US last month, is now available for direct purchase from Google Play in the UK, Germany, France, Spain and Japan, as spotted by Phandroid.

The new Nexus 7, which comes with the latest version of Google’s mobile operating system: Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, is priced in the UK at £199.99 for the 16GB version and £239.99 for 32GB, according to Android Central. In Japan, it is priced from 27,800 yen for the 16GB version, 8,000 yen more than the previous model, the Yomiuri Shimbun newspaper says.

When the new Nexus 7 first launched in July, Google promised it would be coming to Australia, Canada, Germany, France, Japan, Spain, South Korea, and the UK “in the coming weeks.” It seems like Australia and South Korea still have to wait some time before it arrives in their Google Play stores, although in Australia online retailer Kogan has already listed the Nexus 7 for sale on its site with a slightly marked-up price of A$279 for the 16GB version.
