A new video featuring Nokia’s upcoming MeeGo operating system has surfaced, giving us a decent overview of how the new OS will operate when deployed on Nokia’s new fleet of smartphones.

The video has been captured from the Nokia PC emulator, highlighting MeeGo’s use of desktop widgets, social-enabled contacts, music integration and the Ovi app store.

Several outlets have suggested the UI in the video bears a striking resemblance to Symbian^4, another mobile OS that Nokia uses to power its handsets. We believe this video to be MeeGo until proved otherwise.
