New hires: Online property marketplace Trulia brings on board top executives from eBay and Google

Trulia has announced a couple of key new hires as it looks to ramp up its efforts in the online property marketplace.

The company has brought on board two new executives – Lloyd Martin, who has more than twenty years of accounting and finance experience with a range of tech firms, most recently holding a senior finance and accounting role at Google.

Martin will manage Trulia’s finance and accounting teams as the new Vice President, Controller, and will work with the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Sean Aggarwal.

“I have always been a fan of Trulia and the more I learned about the company and its executives I knew this was a place I wanted to call home,” says Martin. “I’m looking forward to building out the Trulia finance team and being part of a company that is having a big impact on the way consumers find their next home.”

Larry Illg also joins the company as Trulia’s Vice President of New Ventures, and he will be responsible for planning and executing business development initiatives. Most notably, Illg spent eight years at eBay where he held multiple senior roles.

Available on the Web, in addition to its iPad, iPhone and Android apps, Trulia is a  platform aimed at homebuyers, sellers, owners and would-be renters, arming them with the latest gen on properties, places and those who work in real estate. Users can learn about agents, neighborhoods, schools, crime, commute times and even ask the local community questions.
