If you and/or your kids are all about animated movies, you’ll want to keep your devices locked to Netflix. The company has announced that it will be the exclusive streaming service for Disney and Pixar movies, as well as Marvel and LucasFilm properties, starting this September.

The news comes more than three years after Netflix inked a deal with Disney in December 2012 for the rights to deliver the media giant’s content on its streaming platform. Disney titles will become available on Netflix during the same release window in which they’d come to pay-TV channels, meaning they’ll arrive after they’re released on DVD and Blu-Ray.

That shuts out rivals like HBO, Hulu and Amazon Prime Video from streaming Disney movies, which is a huge deal for Netflix in its endeavor to become the go-to service for TV and movie fans.

However, it’s worth noting that the deal applies only to viewers in the US. We’ll have to wait and see if Netflix will work to extend the deal to cover other countries.
