Netflix will premiere DreamWorks Animation exclusive Turbo FAST, a new animated TV show based on the blockbuster film that the studio released last summer, on Christmas Eve.

The original series, which is the first exclusive that Netflix has commissioned for children, will debut with five episodes this holiday season. Unlike other Netflix originals such as House of Cards and Orange is the New Black, viewers won’t be able to binge-watch the entire season on day one; instead, Netflix will release new episodes throughout 2014.

Netflix is a popular choice for many families, given that the on-demand streaming service offers a wealth of content to keep the little ones amused. Original content, especially based around such a high-profile franchise, will only boost the platform’s credentials.
