Netflix has revealed its latest list of updates for April 2015. Nothing says spring like a Netflix binge before bed.
It looks like the streaming service is having a bit of a spring clean as they get rid of almost 50 movies and TV shows including the ‘Karate Kid’ (all of them), ‘Annie’, ‘Friday the 13th’ and ‘Good Morning, Vietnam’. Don’t worry, there’s plenty more where they came from.
The biggest Netflix Original release in April will be Marvel’s ‘Daredevil’ starring Charlie Cox on April 10. Next month will also see the answer to a question being asked by many – when will the next season of ‘Sons of Anarchy’ arrive? It will be available on Netflix from April 25.
Movies & Specials
Despite losing some big titles in April, there are some gems coming to the streaming service too. There’s the critically underrated 1997 classic, ‘The Beautician and the Beast’ arriving on April 1, as well as more recent titles like ‘Hot Fuzz’, ‘Noah,’ ‘National Treasure’ and ‘The Babadook’.
‘The Babadook’ is a critically acclaimed Australian psychological thriller which sees a young mother and her son become tormented by an imaginary monster.
‘They came together’ starring Amy Poehler and Paul Rudd will also be available in April.
For comedy fans, the Chris D’Elia special, titled ‘Incorrigible’, will be available from April 17.
TV Shows & Netflix Originals
There will be a new ‘Derek’ special from Ricky Gervais in April, as well as a host of Netflix Original updates and new arrivals. ‘Daredevil’ is probably the most exciting arrival in this category as Netflix teamed up with Marvel to create the series. It will be available from April 10.
Another Netflix Original on the way is ‘All Hail King Julien’ (Season 1). It’s an animated series with characters from the DreamWorks movie ‘Madagascar’, so it is sure to be a hit with the younger audience.
Other TV shows coming in April include ‘Halt and Catch Fire’ (Season 1) and Season 7 of ‘Sons of Anarchy’.
