Windows 8 enthusiasts will be disappointed to hear that Mozilla has now delayed the release of its Metro-style Firefox app until March 18.
First announced in February 2012, the streamlined browser was previously slated for a December 10 release alongside Firefox 26. It was then pushed back to January 21, to coincide with Firefox 27, according to a set of meeting notes published in September last year.
As Neowin reports, the official MozillaWiki page for the streamlined Windows 8 app now lists a “forecasted release” of March 18, in conjunction with Firefox 28. While a preview version of the redesigned browser has been available for sometime, Firefox die-hards will need to wait just a little while longer for a public release. Unless Mozilla delays the public release once more, of course.
