MovieDay for Android counts down to the next film you want to watch

MovieDay for Android counts down to the next film you want to watch

If you enjoy catching new movies the day they hit theaters (or if you really hate spoilers), MovieDay can help you beat the queue. This clever Android app counts down the days to the next release you’re looking forward to, and looks good doing it.

Search for a title or find something you like in the Browse section, and you can add it to your watch list. MovieDay will then display a countdown, and notify you ahead of its release.

Plus, you can use it to create a checklist of older flicks that you haven’t yet seen, like those in your Netflix queue or your dusty Blu-Ray collection.

It pulls in trailers as well as synopses and ratings for all your titles from film database themoviedb.org, so you can find out what each of your titles are about with just a tap.

I constantly receive recommendations when chatting with friends online and in real life, so MovieDay comes in handy for saving them and remembering what they’re about.

The developer says additional features like sorting titles and list backup are in the works. Even without them, MovieDay with its well built Material Design-inspired interface is a joy to use.
