There’s no specific timeline yet, but Motorola has already determined which devices will be getting upgraded to Android 4.4 Kitkat (hat/tip Droid Life).
To find out if your device makes the cut, visit Motorola’s Upgrade page — where all you have to do is select your operator and device make to check on the status. In particular, the Moto X in the US is skipping Android 4.3 and going straight to Kitkat.
In a Google+ update, Punit Soni, VP of product management at Motorola Mobility, says that they will keep rolling out updates as “things firm up across our devices.”
