Moog is known for its groundbreaking work developing analog synths since the 1960s, and counts many heavy hitters in popular music among its fans, including The Beatles, Alicia Keys, Deftones and Coldplay.

The company recently announced it would reissue a limited run of 150 hand-built Model 15 modular synthesizers, recreated to the original specifications from 1974 and available for a cool $10,000 each. But if you can’t afford it, you can get your hands on the next best thing for just $30: the Model 15 iOS app.

The company says it’s recreated every aspect of the famed Model 15, from its oscillators to filters to its sequencing arpeggiator.

You’ll get more than 160 presets to play with, a traditional Moog on-screen keyboard, a delay module and a real-time looping recorder, as well as the ability to patch cables and create unique sounds.

The app supports Inter-App Audio and external MIDI controllers, and works with 3D Touch as well as Apple Pencil. It’ll only run on 64-bit Apple devices running iOS 9.3.1, which means you’ll need an iPhone 5s or newer, iPod touch 6 or newer, iPad Air or newer, or an iPad Pro to check it out.
