Following the hacking of millions of Playstation users’ personal information, Microsoft warns users that the Xbox is currently the target of a phishing attack through Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
According to a support alert from the company, “Users may receive potential phishing attempts via title specific messaging while playing Modern Warfare 2.” Microsoft hasn’t gone into more detail at this time.
Infinity Ward, developers of the game, are reportedly testing a patch before release that should address the issue.
