With a view towards stoking the fires of interest for its upcoming Xbox One launch, Microsoft has revealed that FIFA 14 will be shipping for free with all European pre-orders of the console.

Microsoft announced two bundles featuring the new version of EA’s perennially popular football game. As noted, all European countries where the console is launching will be invited to pre-order the Xbox One to receive a free digital version of the game, which will cost €499.99 all-in.

Subsequently, anyone buying an Xbox 360 from September 27 in Europe can purchase the game with the console for £199, or the Euro equivalent. Fifa 14 is also expected to land on the Sony PS3 around the same time.
