Microsoft today updated its Skype app for iOS, reducing startup time and redesigning the sign-in screen to make it easier to sign in with a Skype ID or a Microsoft account. You can download the new version now directly from Apple’s App Store (iPhone and iPad).
Here’s the full Skype for iOS version 4.15 changelog:
- A redesigned sign-in screen that makes it easier to sign in with a Skype ID or a Microsoft account.
- A new permissions pop-up for iOS 7 to use the microphone for calls and audio or video messages.
- A App Store link to download Skype WiFi, which lets you get online at over 2 million WiFi hotspots worldwide and only pay for the minutes you use with Skype Credit.
- Additional fixes and performance improvements.
As you can see, this is a maintenance release. Looks like the company is still cleaning up after its Skype for iOS 7 release.
