Microsoft bringing Outlook to the Mac

Microsoft bringing Outlook to the Mac

outlookMac users will no longer be required to use the mess that is Entourage. To be made available next year, Microsoft is bringing Outlook to the Mac as part of a new Office bundle.

Entourage isn’t gone yet however. Microsoft also announced today’s launch of Entourage Web Services Edition, which better integrates Entourage with Exchange Server and with Outlook for Windows. It’s now available for download.

If reports are to be believed, Microsoft is finally announcing the application as Apple is offering Microsoft Exchange support in the next version of its OS X operating system, which will ship in August. Microsoft needs to give companies another reason to keep paying for Office.
