Microsoft announces Remix3D web community for the new Paint app

Microsoft announces Remix3D web community for the new Paint app

At its event in New York today, Microsoft announced a new Remix3D.com Web community in order to inspire art and design in three dimensions, which is what the new Paint3D app is all about.

The community is directly integrated into Paint 3D, and also accepts creations from Minecraft. Moreover, Remix3D users will be able to order 3D prints of their creations online, although it’s not clear how it will handle 3D objects that aren’t exactly physically possible.

It also ties in with social media, so you can share your 3D creations on Facebook. The 3D objects will post as a rotating video to show off your artwork from a variety of angles. You can also plug in content from the community into an updated version of PowerPoint.
