Manything, the app that turns your phone into a security camera, has added some important features to better compete with big names like Nest.
For both iOS and Android, Manything will now let you record based on motion. If something pops into your camera’s view, Manything will capture a video feed of all activity until things are still again.
The app has also reduced its livestream delay tenfold, giving you a more accurate representation of what’s going on in your home at any time. You can also save events to your device memory, and share them to social networks.
If your device loses its connection to the Manything cloud storage, events are automatically saved to your device. When a connection is reestablished, it will upload files automatically.
You can also see battery status of remote devices, too — helpful if you’re not keeping one plugged in at all times.
