Lyft is adding detailed drop-off locations for airports around the US, saving you from clumsily telling your driver which airline you’re traveling from.

It’s the same functionality as the pick-up request; you simply enter in where you need to be in the Lyft app, and the driver will know exactly where to take you before they pick you up.

It’s helpful for passengers, but equally beneficial for drivers. If a driver knows you’d like to be at the first door of terminal three — and there’s a pickup nearby — they can streamline their efforts.

Lyft says pre-ride calls and texts between passengers and drivers has dropped by 25 percent in testing this feature, which is also being tested at large venues typically used for concerts.
