How Lush is elevating the retail experience through ethical technology

Cosmetics
company Lush is well-known for using their voice to support global causes. From wildlife protection to LGBTQ+ rights, Lush aims to give more than it takes from society and the environment – and they’re using the latest tech to do it.

With artificial intelligence and machine learning, the Lush Lens app eliminates the need for plastic packaging to create a sustainable future. The app shows how products dissolve in the tub, the ingredients’ properties, and the effect these can have on your skin and mood – all through your phone.

At TNW Conference next week, you can try out the app at their #LushLabs Concept Shop. Featuring walls filled with bath bombs of all shapes, colors, and scents, you can scan your favorite products and learn all about them on your phone.

To find out how Lush is using the latest tech to revolutionize retail, don’t miss CDO Jack Constantine speak on stage at TNW Conference. Last year, he urged other organizations to get their hands dirty and make their own fresh, handmade technology. At TNW2019, he’ll discuss the future of retail and explain how Lush is advocating for a waste-free future.

And if you just want to meet the people behind your favorite bath bombs, join Lush for karaoke and drinks at their TNW2019 opening party. With your conference ticket, you can RSVP here to party with them.

Lush will also bring Bits of Freedom, a foundation protecting digital rights in The Netherlands, to TNW Conference. Together, they’re encouraging people to make conscious choices about how they use and consume technology. Lush and BOF believe it’s important to create a better understanding of our digital rights in order to make online decisions that are aligned with our value system.

You can chat with Lush about their collaboration with Bits of Freedom at TNW Conference. If you’d like to support digital rights, purchase an exclusive tote bag from their TNW2019 booth, designed with the campaign slogan “Take ctrl.” All proceeds (excl. VAT) will go to Bits of Freedom. See you there?
