Live GIF turns Live Photos from an iPhone 6s or 6s Plus into looping GIFs

With the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, Apple unveiled Live Photos, which take a snippet of video as you’re taking a picture. A new app called Live GIF will take your live photos and turn them into looping GIFs.

It’s not for every photo, of course. Live GIF is probably not a good idea for those photos where everyone is grumbling as they line up for a family portrait. Nobody needs that behind the scenes GIF.

But, if the kids do something silly or a wave crashes on the beach, Live GIF might come in really handy.

The cool part is that Live GIF lets you easily send live photos (in GIF form) to those without a newer iPhone. It also works with 3D Touch
