Leaked photo confirms HTC 7 Trophy is Verizon bound

Rumours posted last week that suggested a Windows Phone 7 handset, namely the HTC 7 Trophy, were to launch on Verizon in March have seemingly been confirmed after a the device was spotted in the wild featuring Verizon branding.

It is thought that Verizon officials could announce availability of the handset as soon as February 28, offering the HTC 7 Trophy as its first Windows Phone 7 device at $200 on a 24-month contract.

Engadget got hold of the image, which shows a prominent Verizon logo at the top, coupled with red branding on the lock screen. According to the tipster, the device is already running Microsoft’s “NoDo” update which enables copy/paste functionality and a number of bugfixes and features red detailing on the reverse side of the handset.
