Samsung is apparently teaming up to develop a new Windows Phone on US carrier Verizon, according to the ever-prolific @Evleaks, who has now also given us a first look at the device.

Codenamed “Huron,” the device looks “very similar to a late model Galaxy S,” @evleaks says. This would be Samsung’s first Windows Phone in more than a year since the ATIV Odyssey was unveiled in January 2013, also on Verizon.

With Microsoft acquiring Nokia’s device business and Samsung’s first Tizen device almost certain to emerge at the Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona this month, it remains to be seen how many more of such Samsung Windows Phones would be made in the future — “Huron” could very well be the last one.
