Kickstarter drops Amazon Payments for Stripe: Setting up a campaign just got easier

Kickstarter drops Amazon Payments for Stripe: Setting up a campaign just got easier

Kickstarter has switched away from Amazon Payments in favour of Stripe. The change means project creators will no longer have to set up a business account with Amazon to get funds.

The new process for setting up a Kickstarter campaign is a lot simpler – you just enter your bank account details on the Account tab as you’re putting your project together.

Similarly, Kickstarter backers will have an easier time, being able to check out directly on the service’s site rather than being redirected to Amazon. All in all, it’s good news for crowdfunding fans.
