Job-matching app Switch has announced today that it is expanding its database to include tech and media jobs from all the job boards available online.
The app, which allows you to browse personalized job opening anonymously, will now attach team profiles to new job postings to help you see if you’re a good fit for the brand.
Job searching online can be a daunting task and Switch claims to be the fastest way to discover jobs on the Web already, but now it will have a broad centralized database of jobs across various sectors which will certainly make it easier to explore all possible opportunities.
The new version also alerts you to when there’s a hiring manager on the other end, so you can chat with him or her on the spot.
One of the best things about the app is its search functionality, which throws back a large number of personalized results. It does this by using a company specific algorithm in conjunction with a huge database of job boards.
The aforementioned anonymity also means that even if you’re part of a small Silicon Valley tech circle, you can check out opportunities elsewhere without upsetting anyone.
Some of Switch’s associated employers include Microsoft, Amazon, Facebook, IBM, Yahoo!, eBay, DropBox, SoundCloud and Wikipedia already.
The company is hoping that the expansion to include all tech and media jobs will drive further engagement and ultimately more employment chances for interested parties.
