Jawbone has opened up the API for its UP health and activity tracking wristband, allowing developers to start plugging data from the services and other integrations into their own apps.
The move puts UP closer to parity with competitors like the Nike Fuel Band and follows an invitation-only API beta that saw 10 companies, including RunKeeper, Withings and IFTTT, gain access to the platform. Now, it’s open to all.
