According to Bloomberg, industry insiders revealed that Apple has plans to expand iTunes Radio to other English-speaking countries outside of the US by early 2014. The service is likely to be made available in the UK and Canada before Pandora, the current leader in streaming radio services.
iTunes Radio will also be rolled out in Australia and New Zealand early next year, two countries where Pandora is already in service, according to the report.
iTunes Radio picked up 11 million unique users over the first weekend of launch. With Apple looking to expand the service to more than 100 countries worldwide, the service will provide some serious competition to Pandora and its dedicated Internet radio service.
