Moving text from one place to another is about as boring as it gets, but on mobile — it can be a bit of a headache. CLIP+ for iOS makes it easier, and has been updated to support multitasking, Spotlight search and GIF previews.
For iOS 9, CLIP+ works with both split-screen and slide-over for iPad. When you’ve saved text to a clipboard, it can now be located using Spotlight.
The app also uses the Safari shared links extension, so all URLs you’ve saved to CLIP+ will open directly in Safari. Any text that appears to be a password is ignored, too — something CLIP+’s Simon Burbidge says was implemented based on user feedback.
But here’s something really cool: CLIP+ now has a preview image, which supports GIFs. Next time you save the URL to a GIF, it will show up in your CLIP+ app (or notification center widget), endlessly looping.
CLIP+ is available in the App Store for $2.99.
