Instagram is giving fans and music artists a new way to interact from today, following the launch of its @music channel.
The @music account will aim to give a ‘behind-the-scenes’ look at big-name artists, as well as drawing the spotlight on lesser known performers.
“In the Instagram tradition, we will also welcome community participation with a new, music-themed monthly hashtag project,” Instagram said.
In addition to showing off musicians and community contributions, the account will also highlight the best works from music photographers, album illustrators and instrument makers.
