The Nintendo 3DS is rarely thought of as a device for streaming movies or TV shows, but that could soon change with the arrival of Hulu Plus.
Nintendo 3DS, 3DS XL and 2DS owners will find the app in the Nintendo eShop and then be able to select content from Hulu’s vast library using the traditional d-pad, analog stick or touchscreen.
Nintendo Wii and Wii U owners will also be pleased to hear that accounts and playback is synced across both Nintendo’s handhelds and home video game consoles. So if you’re watching an episode of Spongebob Squarepants on your TV, you can hit pause and pick up where you left off with your Nintendo 2DS, 3DS or 3DS XL at any time.
If you’re not a Hulu Plus subscriber (it’s usually $7.99 per month) you’ll also be able to sign-up for a one-week free trial when you download the app.
