Confirming early rumors that it would launch its new smartphone on February 19, Taiwanese smartphone maker HTC has begun sending invites to events held in both London and New York, where it will likely show off its new full HD flagship: the HTC M7.
Like many of its rivals, HTC has decided to skip a launch event at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, choosing instead to launch what we believe will be a new smartphone a week before the event commences.
The HTC M7 is said to feature a 4.7-inch 1080p HD display, quad-core Qualcomm processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, and a 13-megapixel rear camera (2-megapixel front snapper). It is expected to be similar to the HTC J Butterfly launched in Japan at the end of 2012 and run HTC’s new Sense 5 UI.
We’ll be at the event and will bring you the news the minute it happens.
