The social Web has transformed the travel industry, as the infographic here explains.
It’s been created by Tripl, a new Swedish-based travel startup that will allow travel companies to sell their products more socially to consumers, with a full API being made available to third party developers. Some of the stats that caught our eye below include the ‘Social Travel Index’ (More information on that here) and that 96% of university students are on Facebook (in the US at least).
Tripl plans to open to the public next month.
