HootSuite adds more functionality and features to its integrated Chinese microblogging apps

HootSuite adds more functionality and features to its integrated Chinese microblogging apps

Social media management platform HootSuite has integrated two Chinese Twitter-like microblogging services — Sina Weibo and Tencent Weibo — since October 2012 and April 2013 respectively. Today, it has relaunched the apps to add more functionality and features, as it seeks to provide greater convenience to users in Asia.

The updated Sina Weibo and Tencent Weibo apps in HootSuite are available not only in English, but also in simplified Chinese and traditional Chinese. They now let users schedule posts to each network , as well as manage their scheduled posts. What’s more, users also have new ways to organize the users they follow and can put up more native-looking posts including emoticons and hashtags. They can also share Sina Weibo and Tencent Weibo content simultaneously across other social networks.

Last December, HootSuite also introduced a Sina Weibo analytics app to let users view metrics concerning brand reach, engagement and mentions. Now it has added Tencent Weibo analytics as well, seeking to give users more resources about social behavior in China.
