Hipmunk’s new ‘Trip Planning’ feature lets you obsess over your upcoming vacation

Hipmunk’s new ‘Trip Planning’ feature lets you obsess over your upcoming vacation

Hipmunk wants you planning entire trips on its platform. To accomplish that, the travel booking service is adding a “Trip Planning” feature, which saves your searches across the Web and mobile apps under headers for faster reference later on.

The scope of Hipmunk’s Trip Planning is simple; when you search for hotels or flights via the service, you’ll now be able to save your queries relating to the trip you want to take.

Search for accommodations for a trip to New York, and you can save them as “New York” (or whatever you like). If you have a few hotels or flights that appeal to you more than others, you can tag them as favorites.

You can also view your searches on the desktop or phone under the Activity Manager tab in the settings. The drop-down menu shows you all your saved searches to reference later — great for when you’ve found some hotels or flights you like, but haven’t quite pulled the trigger on.

Trip Planning is rolling out on the Web, Android and iOS today.
