HipChat adds Cloudo for centralized cloud storage search in your team chat

HipChat just added a plugin that will help you keep track of all your cloud files, no matter where you store them.

With Cloudo, HipChat users can search for files in just about any cloud storage solution, and see the results in a single view. It also checks for calendar events, which should help you find everything you need for a fast-approaching deadline.

Cloudo also saves users from finding dedicated plugins from the cloud storage services they use. If your team uses Trello to triage a project — but developers are using Google Drive while the design team prefers Dropbox — it’s all surfaced via Cloudo.

A handy feature, it’s also one more way chat apps like HipChat and Slack are working to be your new platform rather than a simple conversation portal. The Cloudo integration for Hipchat is available now.
