Oh Chrome, and you wonderful Chrome development folks, today we sing your praises. After Facebook rolled out its new Ticker on the Facebook homepage, many of us have been distracted for hours by an ever-present, scrolling sidebar. But no longer!
Someone has already hacked together a Chrome extension that will allow you to remove the Ticker from your Facebook page. It’s a simple, free addition, and the results look great:
As you can see, you still have sidebar information, including suggestions and reminders. But gone now is the annoying ticker and its constant scrolling distraction. In short, it does what it says it will do, and does so without breaking anything else.
