HBO Now launches on Amazon’s Fire TV devices

HBO Now launches on Amazon’s Fire TV devices

HBO is expanding the roll-out of its Now streaming service to more platforms; ‘Game of Thrones’ fans can now watch the show on Amazon’s Fire TV and Fire TV Stick devices as well.

The news arrives just a couple of weeks after support arrived for Google Cast and Chromecast on both iOS and Android.

To be clear, Now was already available on Amazon’s Fire tablets, but the app is only reaching the company’s TV-streaming devices today. They’re pretty solid alternatives to Chromecast and Android TV, so we’re sure the news will make some users happy.

The only major streaming hardware platform missing now is Roku. HBO has previously said that it hopes to bring Now to as many platforms as possible, although it couldn’t specify a date for any other devices.
