Google today launched a new Insights reports feature for all Google+ pages. In short, the company is finally starting to provide rich analytics for its social network, something Google+ VP Bradley Horowitz says has been one of the service’s “most oft asked-for features.”
Insights reports data is broken down into three types:
- Visibility: All time total, photo, and post views, and how page impressions have trended over time.
- Engagement: Which types of posts are getting the highest level of engagement on Google+.
- Audience: Get an overview of your follower demographics.
In other words, you can now finally see how your Google+ content is performing as well as who is viewing it. Insights are available by visiting your page’s dashboard on desktop, and via Google My Business, which also launched today.
