Google takes Street View inside with Business Photos

Google takes Street View inside with Business Photos

If you’re a business owner and you’ve not yet taken advantage of Google Places, you’re missing out on a great resource. While we’re aware that Google has taken some interior shots of businesses in the past what was just announced today is yet another fantastic advantage for Places-listed businesses.

Google’s Business Photos is a lot like Street View, but inside of the business. You’ll get panoramic, 360-degree photos of Places businesses and there’s so far no cost involved for the owner. Now, instead of just seeing your front door, potential customers can take a virtual browse around your store.

Google photographers are currently visiting businesses in select cities in the US, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand. Any business can apply for a photo shoot, and demand will help us decide where to send our photographers next.

Want to get involved? You’ll simply need to apply to get on the list. So, dust off those shelves and make great use of another free Google service.
