A futuristic Google tablet is in the works, which is packed with sensors and has advanced software that can take precise 3D images of objects, the Wall Street Journal reports. The tablet is said to have a seven-inch screen, and will come with two back cameras and infrared depth sensors.
According to the Journal, the effort stems from a Google research project, known as Project Tango. In February, Google released a prototype smartphone out of that group, which also boasted sensors that could come up with a 3D map of your surroundings.
Google is said to plan to produce about 4,000 prototype tablets starting next month, ahead of its annual developer conference.
