The “Do No Evil” policy goes one step further, as Google implements some specific results for keywords relating to suicide.
According to an article on The New York Times website, searches for “suicidal thoughts” or “ways to commit suicide” (among others) will still provide search results, but they will be appended by a large red phone, and a number to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.
This is not the first time that Google has taken a proactive stance for matters of life and death. When users request information relating to poisoning or poison control, Google will provide a conspicuous listing for Poison Control, instead of having a user weed through other results first.
