Google Play begins designating apps specifically made for tablets

Google Play begins designating apps specifically made for tablets

As previously announced, Google has begun highlighting apps in its Play store that have been designed with tablets in mind.

If you head to Google Play on an Android tablet, you’ll see a new “Designed for tablets” section. You’ll also find that apps that haven’t been optimized for tablets will be marked as “Designed for phones.”

Developers interested in having their apps featured in the new section will need to check their Google Play console to look for tips on how to address any issues keeping them from being eligible.
