Google Maps has today started rolling out an update to the app on iOS that bumps it to version 4.3.0. Most notably, it allows you to add public transport directions to your calendar.
Alongside general bug fixes, the improvements include being able to see businesses nearby if you are searching for an address and getting quick facts on popular points of interest. The app also surfaces information on upcoming events and performances from certain venues.
This update comes not long after Google Maps released the Local Guides feature and the new version will allow you to earn your Local Guides badge by sharing reviews.
