Google is turning off its Maps API for Flash on September 2, asks developers to migrate to JavaScript Maps API

Google today announced it is turning off the Google Maps API for Flash on September 2, 2014. The move is in line with the three-year deprecation period: the API was officially deprecated on September 2, 2011.

In other words, developers who haven’t moved on now don’t have a choice. Google is encouraging anyone with an app that uses the old API to migrate their code to version 3 of the Google Maps JavaScript API.
