Google Books continues European roll-out with Spain launch

Google Books continues European roll-out with Spain launch

24 hours after we reported that Google Books was arriving in Germany, the Internet giant’s answer to Amazon and Barnes & Noble’s eBooks offering is now landing in Spain.

Google Books launched to the public back in 2010, where it was available in the US only initially. It has since hit the likes of the UK, where it launched last October, and as of yesterday Germany too.

The Internet giant’s online repository of eBooks once existed as a separate eBookstore, but when Google Play was launched earlier this year to replace Android Market, Books was reeled in alongside apps, movies and all Google’s multimedia content.

That’s two European countries in two days, so it’s safe to assume that it will be hitting most European markets in the coming days and weeks.
