In response to the large number of health-related queries from users, Google will begin displaying pertinent medical information alongside search results.
The content will be sourced from Google’s Knowledge Graph and will include quick facts about symptoms, treatments and other details for common health conditions. Google worked with a team of doctors to curate and double-check the information for accuracy.
The rollout currently covers more than 400 medical conditions and is only available in US English for now, on desktop and mobile devices.
Google says it’s working to expand the number of conditions covered and will make health information available to users outside the US soon.
