Today at the Google I/O event, the company announced that there are some 600,000 games and applications available for Android devices. Even more, those applications have been downloaded some 20 billion times.

Android apps and games are available for download in 190 countries. However, paid downloads are only available in 132 countries. Google also announced that more than 50% of app revenue now comes from in-app purchases.

To put those figures into perspective, some 400 million total Android devices have been activated, and are now being turned on at the rate of one million per day.
