Good Technology buys secure mobile collaboration software firm Copiun; terms undisclosed

Enterprise mobility solutions provider Good Technology (Good) today announced that it has acquired privately-held mobile collaboration software company Copiun.

Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed, but Copiun’s staff members will become full-time employees of Good, while co-founder and CEO Puneesh Chaudhry will join Good’s leadership team.

Founded in 2008, Copiun delivers solutions that enable mobile workers to securely access, share and sync sensitive corporate documents, SharePoint files and whatnot on their smartphones or tablets from anywhere at any time, without a VPN connection or firewall reconfiguration. Its flagship product is called TrustedShare.

Copiun is headquartered in Marlborough, Massachusetts, and has raised $8.5 million in venture capital funding (according to CrunchBase) from Novak Biddle Venture Partners and RRE Ventures.

The acquisition is expected to close this month. For Good Technology, the transaction is a way to enhance its suite of enterprise mobility solutions, which basically enable employees to securely connect, communicate, and collaborate using their personal iOS, Android, and Windows Phone devices (BYOD).
